#3Does anyone know what this means: "It purified 449,100 litres of air on the journey – enough for 33 adults to breathe in a day."
Why is the car purifying air while driving? Is this a side effect of hydrogen powered cars?

#5It's not quite clear from the article, but is this a stock Hyundai Nexo or was it modified to add more fuel tanks? The stock range of the car is 413 miles or 664km, so how exactly was this new record achieved?

It is called "hypermiling", you can do that with gas cars as well, by driving on a level road, minimal breaking and accelerating, plus driving in the engine's optimal RPM period in the highest gear possible. In short, the ideal conditions for the car.

#8I have an acquaintance who has made a substantial fortune from energy focused startups (including a battery tech one) and is now working on another hard tech startup and they are very critical of hydrogen as a fuel. I’ve had superficial conversations with them about it but could never get a sense of their fundamental arguments. Is hydrogen a non starter or are they just protecting their investments with FUD?
I do wonder how much the driver needs to rest, if high speed charging works during the driver's breaks. Could use overhead chargers.
Ammonia is another alternative.

#9It doesn't say anything about the size of the tank, which seems a little weird. Technically you could break that record by adding a bigger tank.
