You left the same comment on my post, but at the time I submitted there was nothing in the topic in the front page, nothing in the new queue, and the url had not been submitted. In a system like this, duplicates are not the fault of the submitter, they are an inevitable consequence of the system.

Use the search function? Things don't need to be on new or on the front page to be dupes.
