Hogswash.

Nuclear diamond batteries are a subset of betavoltaics, a reasonably well established technology with niche applications where a (very) small amount of power is required for a long time. Their energy density can be significantly greater than chemical batteries. If you have a little sensor that needs to run for 20 years, betavoltaics are a good choice.

However their power density is abysmal. For context, providing the 0.2 W of power your phone needs would require approximately 70 kg of such batteries. Driving an electric vehicle at 100 kph would require 5000 Metric Tons of such batteries. These low power densities are good, because the amount of radiation shielding needed is proportional to power output. The radiation source for a few microwatts is generally harmless as long as it's outside of your body; but standing next to an unshielded radiation source producing just 1 watt would be equivalent to a full body CT scan every second, and would kill you in about 5 minutes.

This site is clearly trying to rely on people's lack of understanding to overhype a buzzword-heavy technology that could never pan out.
