I’d need an ELI5 for this. I’m sure it’s useful but what is it exactly and when do I use it?

Absolutely, It's a deep subject and I'm working away on some literature to try and shed some clarity on it.

I plan to start working on some developer documentation later in the year with concrete example and use cases.
