I read somewhere that long-form reading improves attention span(I think its from Cal Newport's books and podcasts). I am planning to replace all forms of video entertainment like Netflix, YouTube, Facebook, etc with books for the next few months to improve attention span.

Currently I am watching multiple Netflix series and YouTube channels. To reduce the boredom and sticking to the habit I plan to read multiple novels and switch between them frequently.

I tried reading on chrome book by holding it vertically after rotating the screen. The text does not look good with the screen vertical. This seems to be more suited for the kindle reader as it is designed for reading.

What's your experience b/w kindle and reading with books? Is there any major difference? Please share your thought?
