#2On a lighter note, those robotic dogs will be critical for fire protection because the trend in South Korea is for more high-rise apartments. You watch too many stories on the news of people being trapped as egresses are limited.

#4We were funded by Darpa. Cleary we have no interest in creating weapons. Darpa .. uh .. doesn’t do that. Anybody who believes the children or grandchildren of Spot won’t be used by governments to oppress/police/kill people should call me. I have a bridge for sale.

So regardless, I think such things are already approaching SOP and not just in literal urban warzones.
