I agree HN is not Twitter. 140 characters or fewer is often symptomatic of Twitterish behavior.

Charity toward other's intent is always warranted on Hacker News. It is what makes the community more than people looking for something to be angry about.

However, here the OP is showing original work. The higher standards of a Show HN are warranted by that.
