GitLab end $4/month Starter/Bronze subscription level

Obligatory "what's the next new cheap paid Git hosting alternative"?

I switched to Gitlab on principal, but as an individual user I can't really justify a hike from $4 to $19 a month. I don't want to do free... although paying seems to have done little to keep Gitlab from pulling the rug out from under.
