My conclusion - it might look sweet, but usability is poor (especially when scanning looking for something)

"Works" in Safari on MacOS.
However, there appears to be two phases of blur. The first starts immediately, the second is a total blur and starts well after I've started scrolling and doesn't unbar until well after I've stopped scrolling.
The whole thing is horrible from a UI perspective.

Works on Firefox 84 for me (but laggy).

Works on latest Firefox. Chrome has better framerate though

#7Scrolling by dragging the bar seems to apply the max amount of blur even if you only move it by a pixel, but other than that I could see myself using it as a browser extension. This was a pleasant scrolling experience

#8Makes me ill but I was very interested in seeing what it looked like.
I also get VR sickness is some VR games so I'm sure its for the same reason, if I scroll down a lot my brain says I should be falling. No issues without the blur.
