Sadly all that experiment would achieve is under excersised dogs.

#7Friends of mine working from home (already before covid) adopted dogs just to be forced to leave the house at least twice a day.
But it didn't turn into a couple activity. And in both cases I didn't even want to get a dog.

A muscle tear is serious. Muscle soreness is strength building. What doesn't gravely injure you, may often make you stronger.
