I am curious to know how many hours or years of work or practice did it take you to become good at programming.
I know "good" is subjective, so answer this by your definition of "good".
Do share your experiences around these points:
(1) What does "good at programming" means to you?
(2) How many years did it take you to become good at programming?
(3) How many hours were they? (A rough estimate is fine.)
(4) What type of programming did you in this time? Hobby? Personal projects? Professional work? Open source?
(5) Any interesting lessons you learnt while becoming good at programming?
