Product Managers: let your customers record screen and voice feedback

I recorded a couple of videos documenting my job hunting process. my friend who is a VP at a major HR company told me to take it off my profile because nobody would hire me. I refused. He has shown the video to all his product managers and they are making sweeping changes to their product because of it.
