I've always wondered what separates a great story or pitch from a mediocre one. There are plenty of articles describing how to write a great story but I find them abstract, not practical enough. Anyway I like the initial hook of these and the short format.

Getting the story right is ultimately a combination of good copy, segmentation, psychology (as in understanding who your target actually is), A/B testing and so on. It touches on so many different fields and that's what makes it hard

I liked the story about Singer. I didn't realize how drastically something small like a sewing machine changed day to day life for people and America as a whole https://tareksway.com/visionaries/sew-much-hope/

When there's a need there's a way. I find it interesting how the need to ship sewing machines across the US had triggered building entire railroads

It's a good question. There's a lot of criteria involved, namely marketing/targeting and always good copy. It's hard to keep a message short, targeted and impactful at the same time
