Just seems like anecdotal data to me - not sure why this needs to be a post. The world is in turmoil right now - I think we can put expedient immigration on hold while the USA figures out what exactly it wants to do.

Exactly, I don't understand why this is a big deal. Everyone knows the US economy and society is in the gutter for everyone but the rich.

Nobody should even consider coming to the US or doing any business here until things change (which it may not for another 4 years)

Agreed. The USA's issue with self-loathing isn't news; it's been a problem infecting our culture for many years now. This tweet is just a symptom of this.

Adding my own anecdote, I still know plenty of amazing people outside the US, e.g. in India, who would give anything to live and work here.

There will always be people on either side.
