Jenkins project user database partially lost following Kubernetes outage

The heart of these issues tend to boil down to finding out that your backups are corrupted or nonexistent when you need them most. Linked post says LDAP database backups stopped in February, which is causing the restore headaches. I'd be interested to know why.
