#2Good for them. It makes much more sense to shift government/business hours if needed than constantly mucking with the time and screwing up millions of software installations.

Winter time is the standard time (i.e. based on solar noon).
It's summer time that is moved.
Maybe that's only in the US and Russia has the reverse?

#9I wish they would do that here. As a parent of two small kids I dread the clock changes, it takes forever for them to adjust.
