#4The company will become disfunctional if dishonesty and distrust fester among the employees. SMB, in that Reddit thread would be an example.
You can follow two paths: purge the dishonest or develop the honest. If you can screen for honesty in the hiring process, it would be smart and efficient to train for a culture of honesty and have a process to rehabilitate when pissible. Outright criminality is surely a deal breaker, but most people who are worth hiring are worth some effort to keep and develop.
"Just Culture" is the actual name for what we are discussing here.
