What kind of hatred results in a person enjoying seeing a cockroach named after their ex crushed and consumed by an animal (the meerkat in this case)? I can only imagine this appealing to people who enjoy indulging in violent/murderous revenge fantasies. Any person participating in this thing direly needs to see a counselor and/or psychiatrist.

Lighten up, seriously. I could see this as being a funny thing among friends: "happy birthday! I bought you a video of a meerkat eating a cockroach named after your ex." "LOL, awesome! Next round's on me." I think you're envisioning Dexter sitting there rubbing his hands together in sadistic glee, but I don't think that's how that would normally play out.
