I'm glad the UK is a member of the EU so we can benefit from this.

This is going to make the UK mad. But apart from that, wasn't there the position that services cannot be part of a trade deal?

Of course it is. The EU isn’t that, though.

The withdrawal agreement negotiated by May does fulfill those criteria, but Brexiters still don’t like it — fancy that.

Perhaps you should instead be wondering how much earlier you could have benefitted from this if the UK wasn't tied to a bureaucratic, lethargic customs union that restricts free trade.

Yes ofc it is possible. the freedom of movement is just a way to dump bluecollar workforce into richer economies so that wages don't go up. educated workforce most of the time has legal ways to get a visa and has freedom of movement regardless of europe "freedom of movement"

Well, if you are not a member state of the EU or Japan it will be harder to sell your products, if EU or Japan can import them cheaper from their partners. But next to that: Probably not.
