The German Constitution was effectively suspended by the enabling act in 1933, which permitted Hitler to pass laws without the approval of the legislature. What event from 1939 do you see as a more significant dividing line between constitutional and unconstitutional?

It was the enabling act I was think of. It was limited to 4 years (not 6)

Democracy can only survive in a non democratic action.
Which is the main cause why non democratic leader are elected. (Eg. caesar, Hitler)

Burning down the government seemed a more plausible pretext for dictatorship than a minor budget kerfluffle. Certainly one he is entirely responsible for.
Trump really loves attention but I don’t think this would give him the kind of attention he craves.
It would just be further proof he is completely lost.
