#2Did they really call their markup language lame ul?
Also, no one is going to Twilio for their per minute or per SMS pricing.

#3hmmm.
Their website is lacking in any information. It claims "Disruptive Pricing" but you have to contact their sales team to see that pricing.
This seems like a premature PR piece.

The webpage they push you to in the Press Release has the prices: https://signalwire.com/laml-apis

#5Not excited about their name. SignalWire suggests a connection to the signal app. What I want is a casual way to send sms programmatically, like notifications from my own system.
I could even use my own google voice sms #, but I haven't bothered to see if someone cracked the api (I'd presumably need to generate some token based on my name/password/yubi-key combo. How many people have made this work by hard coding their name and password in a script :-)

#6I'm always happy to see more Twilio alternatives. We get a very large number of errors from the Twilio messaging API (including weird stuff like SSL errors), and it does still seem very expensive. Hopefully more viable competitors will give us better options to explore.
