#2This article discusses a separate software attack. My intuition is that the "17 sources" are just unfortunate national security officials on the receiving end of an increasingly paranoid game of telephone where various traditional attacks somehow turned into a supply chain attack executed via magical rice chips. This explains both Bloomberg's confidence in their own story and the staunch denials from Apple and Amazon.

#3Operative word here is _malware_.
Bloomberg reporting was about a hardware hack.

#4They still give no detailed evidence. Why they can defame our Chinese without publish evidence? Before they publish detailed evidence, I believe this is just excuse to defame our Chinese like Mike.

#5The malware infected a driver on a single Apple server accidentally; Apple says it wasn’t a targeted attack.

#6This article is odd to link on several levels. First, it adds nothing to the source story from Bloomberg: https://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/2018-10-04/the-big-h...
Second, that story itself is just about FB and Apple reminding Bloomberg of hacks that we're reported >1y ago. This is an interesting story but the news cycle is jumping the shark.
