What if the US became a monarchy?

That's a lot of what ifs. Growing up in the US I remember always feeling afraid. Afraid of getting pulled over. Afraid what people would think because I smoked pot. Afraid of not getting good grades. Afraid of not negotiating a high salary. Afraid of not making enough money. Afraid I wouldn't find a partner. And that fear kept me working hard, paying taxes and helped ensure I put the value of money above even family. No matter what the government, people who live in constant fear will always be easily controlled.
