Six things about work I wish I knew when I graduated

>2. Do what you’re good at not what you love

This...just after I finished school I got to do something I thought was my goal throughout school and was something I loved. Turns out it just made me start disliking the things I used to like about it and honestly I didn't put the effort in I should have. Now I do something that I not only never knew existed before I started, but was never something I thought I would be doing or would enjoy, let alone be good at.

Personally I prefer my current situation, working a job i'm good at where my contributions matter and are appreciated to when when I worked my 'dream job' and my contributions, while useful, could have probably been done better by someone else.
