#2Start lifting weights. The first 2 months will be hard but if you can get into that then you can do it permanently. Look up Vitruvian physique on youtube.
Lifting weights enable you to eat more which is good, and turn those extra calories into muscle.
Better to be obsessed with lifting than eating. The loneliness part I can't help you with.

#3A dead post recommended me "Start lifting weights". Sorry, I can't. I have osteo-arthirtis which doesn't let me lift.
I can and love running though. It is not that I don't want to, but when feeling this terrible, I can't move from bed.
