#2Come on. This post is a waste of time. Arguing that the start up economy is going to suffer due to the release of an "awesome" video game = true waste of time.

Well, if anything, he's proving himself correct. The game is wasting his time! And now, by extension, yours.
And mine.

#4Luckily Blizzard is saving startups by making Battle.net 2.0 unusable. The "social" features (facebook integration) are just a way of allowing your boss to see how much time you spend playing, the absence of LAN is a countermeasure to the "we have to check something in the storage room" excuse, the absence of chat rooms makes it so much more difficult to pretend you are typing away at that important document, the list goes on.
The Chinese version of the game will have all of these features, Starcraft 2 is just a conspiracy to get the US back ahead.

#7I'm not very interested in Starcraft 2, but I can guarantee my productivity is going to go to zero for a week or so after Fallout: New Vegas comes out this fall.
I don't even want to think about what'll happen once Civ 5 ships... Hopefully I'll temporarily get bored with it after a month or so.

#8Having no interest in Starcraft 2, this article seems like spam, especially with its sensationalist headline.
