Does anyone know what the deal is with the Wickr Project?

There are no Android/iOS updates on their app pages after March, and their blog states notably that they have gotten a new CEO in November.
Signal (as a unified app) wasn't around when I started using Wickr, but now most of my Wickr contacts have moved to it since.
So I'm wondering if I should just delete my Wickr account because the project has been left idle.
