Apple says not to hold your iPhone 7 to your head

Meh. Most phones I've seen have manuals with CYA disclaimers like that - essentially saying "it sorta kinda works, but don't sue us if anything happens: see, we told you right here it's not fit for any use." This is an artifact of overlawyering, not a technical limitation.
