That really hits home. It is difficult to explain to the uninitiated the degree to which one's identity becomes wrapped up in the startup.

It sometimes feels like it has its own mind and soul.

Great writing. Reads like a memoir, but with the depth of an ethnography. I believe the company described here is Mixpanel FWIW.

I'm not from the valley or the US and don't know the accuracy of those words, but it feels really real.

If anything, it's stunningly well written. Great post.

Fantastic writing. Reminds me a bit of "Microserfs", but somewhat more focused.
