You will own and be accountable for technical initiatives around core Ruby on Rails services and underlying technology platform, and as such, you will be able to develop a solid reputation and trust among your peers as a go-to expert on Ruby.
You should have recent and extensive working knowledge in designing, implementing and building high-performance, distributed systems and Service Oriented Architectures. Our technology stack includes Java and Ruby on Rails running in the AWS cloud. This is a key RoR-focused role that will be responsible for implementing key features and improvements to the adaptive learning engine and other mission critical systems and services. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with RoR distributed applications, upgrading RoR applications from older to newer versions of Ruby and Rails, solid CS fundamentals, passion for tackling complex problems and a solid understanding of how to write efficient Ruby code. You have excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills, with an enthusiastic attitude to support and resolve customer problems.
