I stepped down as lead developer due to relentless harassment preventing me from being productive. The same people targeting me with harassment misrepresented what was happening. Yes, it's in good hands and the organization is actively being built out with the help of people from the Ethereum Foundation who know how to run a successful non-profit. We're making it into a serious organization and are hiring a bunch of full time developers.

Seems like you’re proving his point. From what I can tell he founded the project and was bullied into leaving on social media. Happy to update my view if there’s additional information.

I appreciate someone standing up to this. The particular account has been engaging in bullying towards me with endless lies since 2018. He posts personal attacks towards me in most threads about GrapheneOS. I don't understand why there hasn't been moderation yet.

Made by China is a whole lot different than designed/compiled by China. Although iPhones are made by China, Apple is the one designing, quality-controlling and actually selling the device.

Foxconn is more involved than that and are clearly a highly trusted party. iPhones also contain components designed in China.

You can install GrapheneOS today on your Pixel.

I wish I could. Unfortunately, I need both Google Wallet (I don't carry a physical wallet with me) and both my digital ID app and my bank app don't run on GrapheneOS.

I'm annoyed a lot by that, but there's simply no alternative that I found.

It's a different company. They just share the same name. You don't do your research properly. This is a Chinese-owned company, part of Lenovo. (I mostly don't trust them because they are Chinese-owned, but then, everything is made either in China or by China-friendly Foxconn so, whatever.)

Companies change ownership, contracts with customers don't.

Yes, on the shallow pockets. Also, I had the habit of putting my non-folding phone down when sitting, and then leaving it behind.(!) I would sit it down because it wouldn't fit into my pocket and I didn't always carry a hip pack. Except for the stupid high prices of the "fold" phones, they would put me right back in the non pocket fitting situation. (Although the extra screen space would be sweet!)

Have you been using the same foldable phone for those 5 years? It’s the price, but it’s also a question of durability.

Same one for five years (Samsung Flip 3). It does have a crack down the middle. It's not enough to bother me, but you're right, early gens do have that problem (believe it is fixed by now).

In those lists iphones are supported up to 7 years old, while Pixels only go back 4 and they end security updates at the same time that they end OS updates. Current Pixels are 7 years (showcased in the links I provided), not sure why you're claiming 6. Apple doesn't claim EoS but also hasn't provided longer than 7. Apple makes no such guarantees, so it's not something anyone can depend on.

My point is that right now I have one that is 6 years old. If Google develops a track record of supporting phones that long my stance will change. Also Google is the posterchild for canceling support.
