I don't work for linkedin and never have. I wrote myself a greasemonkey script with a similar purpose a while ago & learned about this while trying to research if I would be violating linkedin's ToS by sharing it. Anecdotally, the amount of recruiter spam I had in my inbox went from one or two per day to almost none while I was using said script.

so you were presenting some of your theories as facts in your comment?

maybe change the wording so as not to mislead ppl. I used a script like OP for many years and was never search banned from job search.

recuriter spam has nothing to do with shadowbanning. it ebbs and flows.

Instagram is even easier if you stay logged out. Sometimes you're just blocked from doing or seeing anything except one page of thumbnails.

(instagram is very likely the absolute worst frequently-used site you could choose for your business's hosting)

X now has this really obnoxious animated finger tapping the button on mobile, and it makes me leave even faster.

2 out of my last 3 jobs were the result of LinkedIn recruiter spam

Before making it all hidden, I probably checked the website a few times a week when it was newsworthy. I haven't been to the website since.

I used a great one for FB until it stopped working, it blocked 95% of everything. Seriously. It is like if The Onion made a linkedin it would just be a direct carbon copy of how the site already is. They probably got a team of data scientists running ml on Zip! metrics.
