Yeah, I don't hear it. I kept listening waiting to hear the voice that was supposed to sound like him, and never did. Was it the first one (I heard three different voices during the clip)? That one is considerably deeper than the podcaster's voice, and has different tones, too. It definitely wasn't the last one, that one was much higher pitched (and then a female voice in the middle). Feels like a big stretch, to say…

The clone start at 39:42. The match is 100x better than what David Greene claims (although I know Chris's voice much better). I don't see (hear) how you not hear it., I've been listening to Chris Fisher for 20 years and that clone fooled me.

That's not it. This is the first version of the Sky voice model which most people seem to agree doesn't sound that much like Scarlett. See my adjacent comment for more details.

To my understanding that's from the 4o demo that kicked off the controversy, and the Sky voice was pulled days later.

I don't see evidence of another version existing after that, and would guess that the reason you're struggling to find a recording is that you're looking for something that does not exist.

I don't think this is necessarily a fair comparison. In your sample of David Greene, he's being _interviewed_, which is different than hosting a radio show or podcast. For instance, turn on the nightly news and listen to the very bizarre intonation used by the newscasters. This is something they do for the broadcast, it's not how they normally talk.

For a fair comparison, you need to compare audio of David as a broadcaster rather than being interviewed: https://youtu.be/W-uGqHXoSRw?t=5 . As someone who has listened to Greene's voice on NPR a lot over the years, I hear the similarity.

In that case it was all just a bluff. There never was an OpenAI voice that sounded like ScarJo.
