Wework started spiralling in 2019, it was never going to stay afloat.

I agree the global experience WeWork provides is really unique. The question is whether that product would have ever been sustainable—had the company been better managed.

Regus is still worth billions.

Was working remotely like that difficult from a tax perspective? I know a lot of places will require you to file even if you are only working there a single day.

Single day is likely unenforceable.

Surely everyone's had enough of the WeWork catastrophe by now? What kind of investors would tip in more money to rescue it yet again?

Any money going in now would subsidize landlords. They basically have to renegotiate leases, otherwise investors will just go down and take landlords down with them.

Genuine question: Wouldn't this require a lot of ventilation / HVAC infrastructure? It seems like in order to get 'really quiet' you need to have solid, noise-insulating walls on all 6 sides, which then makes it harder to ventilate (i.e., each cube gets it's own ductwork) That said - I also like quiet spaces and if I was looking for a co-working space something that's mostly small, cozy, and quiet cubes would be perf…

Probably, the rooms get stuffy fairly quickly. I've seen videos of private work booths in Japan that appear well-ventilated so it's possible but no idea about cost effectiveness.

If anyone wants this idea, you can even use the old WeWork signs, just flip the W upside down and change it to MeWork
