#812But in dog eat dog world, this is really vultures eating each other up, I suppose at this point the most ruthless will be left at the end

#813@dang after things calm down I'd love to see some stats on whether this was the fastest upvoted story ever. Feels like it's breaking some records, along with the server.
Happy to answer that but how would we measure "fastest upvoted"?
Re: OpenAI's board has fired Sam Altman
#814Happy. I never heard him say anything even remotely interesting about ai. He seemed a glib opportunist just not dumb enough to know how to sell a product he didn’t understand who eventually would have alienated or pushed out all the smart people who made the company’s and his success.
Or about anything at all really. I find his blog posts and talks banal and boring, or self-aggrandizing otherwise ("you can bend the world to your will") it was always baffling to me how this guy could achieve this much. I'm probably missing something.
Re: OpenAI's board has fired Sam Altman
#815Anyhoo, the only question I want to ask is, given that Elon was once affiliated with OpenAI, did he have anything to do with this? My spidey sense is tingling for some reason.

So they didn't even give Altman a chance to defend himself for supposedly lying (inconsistent candour as they put it.) Wow.

Today’s lesson, keep multiple board seats None of the tech giants would be where they are today if they didn't ram through unique versions of control Their boards or shareholders would have ousted every FAANG CEO at less palatable parts of the journey

#820Man, these tech layoffs are getting out of hand
