It may come as a shocking surprise here, but human rights are not actually conferred by the Constitution or any other piece of paper. Human rights are “endowed by our Creator” and so the actual function of the Constitution is to protect those rights, and any logical person could reason that our Creator would probably not endow only certain persons or citizens with those rights.

If you’re going to believe in a creator anyway, why not decide they have arbitrarily chosen to favor one group over another?

Think like this: in the US you can fire someone for almost any reason, except if it's one of certain forbidden reasons. Similarly, the US government can revoke someone's visa, but they can't revoke someone's visa because of speech protected by the first amendment.

This makes sense but then the outcome of this is all theatrical. What will happen in future is that people have their visas revoked without any comments or reason given. There is no legal requirement to list a reason. It will end up the same as employment law, where people can discriminate and break the law as long as they don't tell the applicant they are doing so.

Yes, of course this won't have any practical effect, unless people are writing everything down, which I, however, think they often are.

Have you considered that you can be misinformed? Maybe you are in an echo chamber that makes it appear others are wrong. Maybe there are legitimate concerns regarding illegal immigrants. Maybe you should try to expand your understanding of the situation.

instead of "just asking questions", mayhaps you could answer them? what are you legitimate reasons regarding immigrants who lack documentation? do you have your documentation on you as all times, as a united states citizen?

None of those are examples of violating a court order, in fact the first is an example of following one. The second happened when he was out of office. The third is ongoing.

I definitely did not say he doesn’t get ruled against by the courts.

They did. IAEA repeatedly certified that they were complying with the deal.

The IAEA's inability to address Israeli + Republican "concerns" about uranium hiding at military sites is not an indication that Iran reneged on the deal, it's an indication that Israel and Republicans never really wanted a deal and would criticize any deal for not going "just a bit further." In this case, "just a bit further" meant "surprise access to any Iranian military site" which is a wild thing to ask for and an indication of just how far the deal already went.

Do you think that having a say in the way the place you live for 5% of your life might increase the odds you want to settle down there and contribute to making it a good place?

Someone is working on completing their higher education here, seems like that would select for folks who had an interest in education, the resilience to complete a degree, the means to do so, etc. If I didn't believe that borders were generally bad, and instead believed that immigration was good if controlled, it would seem that students are people we'd want to immigrate.

$10B+? Israel gets $3B a year, and spends approximately $30B on American weapons. I guess if you don't like gas in your care, the middle east is unimportant, yes.

$3.8B is only the baseline scheduled amount. We give more each time there's a war, like $17.9B for Gaza. There isn't a net cash flow to us either, they're getting it all for free. Where did you get the $30B figure?

During peacetime, there's enough oil production outside the Mid East that OPEC has no teeth, as we saw in the 2010s. Not that our strategy of supporting a non-oil-producing country has helped us get oil from the Mid East either. We sanctioned off one of the largest producers, and the others are always a fine line.
