Hey HN! I'm Alexander, one of the founders of Hatchet. Hatchet is an open-source platform for running background jobs at scale.

We're hiring product engineers who are excited to build the next class of engineering primitives, starting with queues, background tasks and durable execution. We started in early 2024 after launching our distributed task queue (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39643136).

Hatchet is currently used by thousands of engineers for all kinds of workloads: log ingestion pipelines, code review agents, video encoding, GPU scheduling, etc. Our target customer is fast-growing startups who have a strong need for background jobs system. These days, that tends to be AI companies, though we're general-purpose and not exclusively targeted for AI workloads.

We’re a small, high-impact team solving one of the most interesting and adversarial problems in fintech: how do you build systems that reliably determine whether a real human is on the other side of a financial transaction? We’re hiring across Engineering (Full-stack and Infra) and Data Science / ML roles. Hiring at Manager/Director level as well as mid-level/Senior levels. We’re language-agnostic and hire for fundamentals.

Kinelo is building the "org structure" for humans+AI working together, shoulder-to-shoulder, as peers. We help coordinate tasks between each actor in a company, handoff context, and provide a voice and "seat at the table" to AI coworkers.

We're a small team, just hired our first GTM lead and a new product engineer. Getting ready to grow. We'd like to find another strong, experienced software engineer who can span everything from talking to customers to designing robust architectures to inventing new UX patterns.
