Yet it is here to stay, won't go away and even if it won't get any better at the useful things it does, it is useful. The externalities are real, some can be removed, some mitigated. There are plenty of things that are useful and that have gone away. As long as GenAI stays unprofitable, it has every chance of disappearing if it stays as useless as it is right now.

Me too. I bounce off of any product landing page that has "AI" slapped on it, which lately is ~99% of them. On the other hand, if I saw a product labelled "No AI bullshit" then I'd immediately be more interested. But that's just me, the AI buzz among non-techies is enormous and net-positive.
