"A Tree Grows in Brooklyn" (1945) is a real tear-jerker even 70 years later.

I did not know of this list -- thanks! According to my Letterboxd, I have seen 757 of them already.

It seems that there are different "editions" of the list, where new films are entered and some are removed, to keep the count constant.
