Honest question: There is a lot of talk about Truth Social violating the AGPL license. If it it a work in progress and not yet public, do they need to share their source code, or do they need to share it once they launch?

Yup -- either the devs don't know what that means in English slang, or they have a very juvenile sense of humor. Either way, that alone seems like it would present a pretty serious obstacle to anyone taking Mastodon remotely seriously.
