Although in that case the city was not actually hacked. It looks like this person actually got hacked by someone using curl and he is complaining that curl made it possible. I wonder if he knows anything about the people who wrote the actual exploit(s).
I'm not a psychiatrist, but it seems that this person has some severe psychotic disorder. The whole thing reads like a cheap knockoff of "A Beautiful Mind".
It also could be a alcohol induced rage moment, where the sender just vented out random stuff.
I posted an image of my family and someone instantly commented, “are you ready to die” by a_famous_comedian. Honestly it takes your breath away even if you know the threat isn’t real.
A few hours later, in #bitcoin on EFNet, a person joined with a nick of my name. They stated my address then posted several inverse threat comments “you will die in Beverly Hills” and various things.
The person demanded I quit EFNet. I was intrigued by what he was saying so I agreed and quit. This person said I can’t be intimidated but I think they had a different reason. I don’t think the threats are tied to anyone who dislikes me, rather it’s some mythical poker game strategy involving a great primordial mystery.
Yesterday afternoon, I decide to jump on a small hardware hacking channel. Within 20 minutes, in comes my friend with my name as his nick.
This time he made several outrageous comments including, “Your mother will slash her throat in front of me” — again this is an inverse or 3rd party like threat.
He then tells me again I need to quit EFNet and calls me a loser.
I started to think this person was Diamond/Chrysippus/cwt who threatened Variety Jones and talked about kidnapping Ross Ulbricht’s family for private keys.
I sometimes investigate federal employees for the ODNI and I’m currently investigating Diamond via connections in Thailand. And I’m investigating Christopher W Tarbell and Sabu. Especially now with Individual 1 being labeled Shaun Bridges, the Secret Service agent with NSA assignment who stole multiple Silk Road wallets worth billions of dollars.
In real life, I have been threatened 20+ times including last week by a partner of Gery Shalon, the JPMorgan hacker who paid $405 million to the USG and had the Israeli government get him a non prosecution agreement of some sort.
When this happens, I aggressively and directly confront whomever is threatening me. Which has high risk but it seems better than cowering and appearing weak.
Gery’s partner who he directed was sentenced to 12 years in federal prison last month. Russian hacker goes to prison while Israeli affiliate con man continues to run scams and de facto foreign intelligence operation in the US — specifically in Houston, Texas.

I have so many federal agents and federal prosecutors investigating me, both current and former. Currently the FBI and DoJ are investigating Attorney General Ken Paxton of his investigation into alleged criminal behavior by federal employees in the Nate Paul case in Austin. Fwiw Nate Paul still hasn’t been indicted after almost 2 years since when federal agents raided his home.
I am Paxton’s special investigator that he was sending to Austin to investigate the US attorneys and federal agents. Then Paxton’s staff wrote the letter accusing him of corruption and the ‘special prosecutor’ appointed was removed. They did not know my affiliation with ODNI. While Brandon Cammack knows me, Paxton did not know my identity.
Anyway, sure I’ll be shadowbanned again by the elite hackers and cypherpunks of “Y Combinator”. But just thought I’d share my story.
I’m 100% confident that the person on IRC is a federal officer. Last week, that person sent a 0day exploit for my iPhone 11 and bricked my phone (it works except won’t activate on SIM). I’m currently looking to have the phone analyzed for signs of the 0day. I am assuming after a factory reset the phone will work again.

Not sure what caused the original email, but the reply is just a copy/paste of various unrelated things and security incidents that the person Googled without even understanding enough about them to form a comprehensible narrative. Not sure what this solves really. Some pissed off weirdo is an idiot aye. Either it's scary and get law enforcement involved or it's not and we're gawking and laughing at someone at their worst moment. In an attempt to take this post at its most charitable I agree, it fucking sucks there's not enough focus on mental health in the world.
When you get messages like this, sometimes you end up taking it differently to how it appears as a third party. Any threat of violence online can be interpreted as a joke, it's not easy to tell the difference sometimes and it's harder when you're on the receiving end of it.
