I've thought this before as well. Doesn't seem like there's a solution. If you think about it, human beings corrupt any system they're in.
I've tought about it as well, and came to a different conclusion, which is that class divides inevitably bring violence and collapse. I think if it would be possible to engineer a society where everyone's class interests would be more or less the same we wouldn't have such issues.
There have been class issues since the dawn of mankind and almost a of our evolutionary ancestors have class ranking.
Hierarchy is hardwired into our DNA.
