Have you considered living an another EU country? The Netherlands for example is very easy to live and work in as an English speaker and the language is not too difficult. Ireland is also English speaking.

By living in an EU country with you, your girlfriend should not have any visa problems.

Yes, it was 2015, typo. Express Entry amalgamated FSW/T and CEC streams and digitized the process, for which you used to have to send paper applications before. The Quartz link made 67 points the centrepoint of the article, which that is the first step, you still have to enter yourself into Express Entry pool, where spousal points are calculated separately and in fact does impact your final points tally.
