Working on getting real-time computer vision telemetry from cameras placed in a barn. Managing the training datasets was annoying enough that I created my own simplified clone of CVAT and LabelStudio : a browser-based image annotation and review tool for detection + categorization. Will eventually expand this to an end-to-end solution.

nowadays, with LLMs, everybody is calling themselves a developer doing any kind of project. Welcome to the future!
As a developer myself i hear this so often. Yes, it's (probably) your job on the line as well, BUT everybody nowadays can be a developer. Maybe, don't call it developer. Everybody nowadays can built some software that fulfills some need (or just for fun). It's actually something good, isn't it? Would you mind, if you could suddenly, over night, be a carpenter, a watch maker or glassblower?
I care a lot more about my gainful employment compared to the everyman being able to create their own... something.[1] That’s very selfish of me, AI Industry, and I’m sorry.

Yes. If that came with the little-bitty stipulation of being tied to the “compute” property of these AI behemoths.
Of course going beyond that it gets less problematic. Some carpenter-skilled exoskeleton is a lot less problematic than disembodied intelligences spamming our minds and each other.

Well we can finally get back to a semblance of the status quo ante Internetum with something like businesses being able to list all of their contact information on their own websites instead of “see our FB page”.

It's tailored toward implementing a web version of the original cli app and whitepaper "grit" https://github.com/climech/grit
So basically it creates a DAG and each task node can receive some annotated data (traits) about whether the task is actionable or not.
I've been using it daily for a year or so. Slight bummer that I feel I released it 5 years overdue, though, and it's doomed to drown in noise.

All images were generated by Gemini. For me so far the best model when it comes to image generation.

`--as-of` might be the most important feature in your codebase. Temporality of relationships is way way more important than I thought when I first started down the path of modeling relational data in agentic systems. Sometimes knowing why or why not at a glance can be the difference between spending another $50 on tokens retreading old ground. This is very cool, and I will probably discard my handrolled version in favor of your much more robust solution.
Have you considered allowing annotation of why something changed as part of a tx?

Interesting project. I've been thinking about the need for something similar at work when a coworker thought it was a good idea to explode our design documents by having an AI slop out tens of pages of additional design w/ zero consideration of modeling of the human-derived ground-truth or knowledge ontology.
A humble suggestion is to consider having this become an annotation layer on top of existing code or documentation.

For more context on these numbers: when I started posting these, first, I wasn't consistent, and second, I was doing something that, to the algorithm, looked suspicious, so I think the posts had a negative weight.
In 2024, HN reached out and it got more of an official blessing for me to run these, and we set an official day of the month (the second Sunday), which in turn made me more consistent.
