About: Two years building and operating a cloud-native government services platform (City of Johannesburg) — own backend services end-to-end from AWS infra through to production. Designed and shipped an AI classification service (DSPy + pgvector) that routes citizen requests across 16 departments and 612 service types, architected with no existing template to follow. Also own the Terraform/CI-CD layer for the platform. Currently working full remote; looking for backend/full-stack roles where I can keep owning things end-to-end rather than working a narrow slice of a large team.
