I'm not an expert, but my family shares. They are best when wet a bit, so typically we douse the cut or wound with peroxide, then apply. That said, they are cheap enough for everyone to have their own if that's a concern for you.
No need for peroxide, just slightly salty water is better unless visibly contaminated. By using peroxide, scars are often worse, which is thought to be due to killing cells which contribute to wound healing. Furthermore, peroxide doesn’t significantly help prevent infections.

It is easy, we can spit it into two parts: Proving that all even numbers end up in that loop and proving that all odd numbers do. I'll take the even ones. Who works on the odd ones?
I'll take a stab. An odd number is a number that ends in 1, 3, 5, 7, or 9. - ends in a 1: times 3 + 1: it now ends in a 4, which is even, and thus reduces to the even case. - ends in a 3: tomes 3 is 9, + 1: ends in a 0; even again. - ends in a 5: ×3 ends in a 5 again, +1: ends in a 6; again even! - ends in 7: x3: now ends in a 1, +1: ends in a 2; even yet again! - ends in a 9: ×3 then eens in a 7, +1 thus eens in an…

It's over 11,000 km from Malaysia to the Cook Islands, yet the number 5 is lima in Malay and rima in Cook Islands Maori.
Apparently it's also rima in Rapanui, the language of Easter Island near Chile. And the number two is even crazier, being roa in Malagasy and rua in Rapanui, so this word is shared from Madagascar all the way to Easter Island. https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/rima#Rapa_Nui https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/rua#Rapa_Nui https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/roa#Malagasy

This is not medical advice, but... Cyanoacrylate (also known as "Super glue"). I've been using it to cover some small clean cuts. I think today there's even variants approved for such use.
I'm from Argentina and I've been "glued" a couple of times by paramedics using a glue based on cyanocrylate

#707I've described this on HN before; forgive me if you've already seen it. I have chronic migraine. It sounds worse than it is; I rarely suffer attacks anymore, and when I do, they're usually mostly harmless, as in the case I'll describe below. Contrary to popular belief, migraine is not a headache. It's something a little more like an epileptic seizure. Intense headaches are one common symptom, but there are a lot of o…
Mine used to happen a bit when playing sport so I always associated them with dehydration, but it seems like that’s probably not it.

Have any modern constructed languages made use of this knowledge? A very quick Google suggest Esperanto doesn't: https://indo-european.eu/2008/05/esperanto-other-invented-la...
Loglan and Lojban give entirely too much weight to Chinese and other large languages (in terms of numbers of speakers) that have zero relationship to IE (unless you're heavily into Nostratic). I'd like to see someone combine an exemplary form of Romance languages (like, Latin or early French) with an exemplary form of Germanic languages (like modern Icelandic or reconstructed proto-Germanic) to form a new lingua fran…

> not all colors are electromagnetic frequencies What do you mean? (Outside the detail that "hues" are electromagnetic frequencies, while colours are compositions - there I just simplified.) Which colour is not such?
Magenta have not a electromagnetic frecuency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8FSpCAs5KZg
For that matter, not even "pinkish grey" is defined by simply a frequency (the hue is, the colour is not): the definition for this purpose was meant to be concise, not literal.
