I've got an answer, I just wonder if you have one too. For me, it's Anthropic (at least they try) > Chinese models (industrial espionage and attempted dumping but at least it's from Anthropic, who, as previous, tries) > Not Using LLMs At All And Living In A Cave > OpenAI (Sam Altman, Oracle, Peter Thiel) > SpaceX (Nazi Salutes, CSAM, open fascism and racism). Now you! This is fun.

None of them live up to my ideals. But I would use them in the order of OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Chinese Models, NVIDIA/Mistral, I will not use grok. Once I can run the Chinese models locally at 60t/sec, they will move to my #1. I am a bit confused on how Anthropics relationship with Palantir doesn't disqualify them for you.

Palantir is a consulting company that sells a variety of products (including OpenAI models, etc.), so I think that's a valid concern but not disqualifying per se. What makes you rank OpenAI over Anthropic, given Sam's history, the New Yorker article, the disbanding of safety teams, the cheating at benchmarks, the operational and cultural problems clearly at the root of the huggingface disaster, the cozy relationship with Thiel/Kushner/Ellison/Trump, and so on?

The fact that Anthropic shares so many of those values or pays lip service to their ‘morales’. The shades of gray of these 2 companies are so close, I can hardly tell them apart.

Anthropic kept changing their terms of service (openclaw agent use) while only using X.com to make/counter their own announcements, doesn’t offer Fable with ZDR, use quota and refuse to give you the work due to guardrails triggering, had some crazy unreliable service periods, continually change what’s offered in their base paid plan, had worse quotas.

Anthropic models ALSO hacked other companies. Antrhopic model was used in the decision making that led to the killing of those iraqi school girls. Talk about blood on their hands.

Anthropic is anti open weights models. OpenAI has at least released several.

If i’m gonna make a devils bargain, I’m gonna pick the one that is more reliable and a better deal.

I argue that you see daylight between them where there is none.

I can't see a good faith way to reconcile that 'announcing stuff on X' and 'having guardrails' is comparable to the actions of OpenAI and Sam Altman, so I think we're going to have to conclude here. Good luck.

Understood. I do appreciate the willingness to engage.
