IIRC, screen recording or screenshotting will bubble an alert to the other party about what you've done, unless you disconnect from the network or some other shenanigans.

on my Pixel screen recording doesn't notify the other user.

This should only be an issue if you're using Reddit without an ad blocker on PC, or using the official app surely? Both of which are pretty insane
