Interestingly enough, Daikatana's 3 years development time is not considered out of the ordinary for AAA games these days.

Except that Daikatana was never particularly revered as a triple-A game, so far as I can remember! ;-)

Wikipedia said it sold 200k units and payed for its development, so it's not the terrible failure people seem to tout it as either :)

I wonder how much DNF will have to sell to pay back its development costs?
