Waymo and Cruise won't actually release comprehensive data. So anecdotes are all we have to go by... and they don't look particularly good. As a sometime pedestrian, I can tell you that those are the sorts of mistakes human drivers make all the time .
Are you advocating for normalization of mistakes and bad driving practices? If self-driving corresponds to bad drivers, then is it useful?
